Call ahead, use your Florida resident discount and pick them up at the gate. Ask about the return ticket price so you can go back again within a year. You'll zoom right through the lines. Don't ask me how I know

stay at a disney resort ....honestly i dont think you can get a great deal on tickets to the park usually the deals are on packages: hotel, flights, princess dinners , bla bla bla.

Just buy your tickets online and print them and be sure that you are not carrying credit cards, however be prepare to spend couple of hundreds dollars in food and water

He's only spending a day, not a whole week

I don't see the problem with carrying credit cards. Especially if you're planning a whole trip, you can't possibly take out all the cash you might need, and leaving a credit card in the hotel room is a worse idea (sticky fingers). In fact a credit card is safer than a debit card (which is what I used last time and won't use it again for security reasons) because if it gets stolen or fraudulently charged, chances are your credit card company will work with you better to resolve the matter.

When we went, we just bought our passes at a Disney Store. They're shutting the closest one down so I guess next year we'll just purchase online.

So you can get a Florida discount? I'll try that then. Do you know how much it is though? Because my mother has access to NAS Jax, and she can get the from the travel agency for about 65 bucks. I was just wondering about other options.

There are some discount ticket outlets near Disney which are similar in price to most on-line discount ticket shops. Also, you can always use a morning (if you have the time) to get a sales pitch for a time-share as these may include free tickets to Disney, but be prepared to waste a few hours. You also have to meet some minimum requirements for the free tickets, and one of them may be that you have to be out of state as well as earning a certain minimum annual salary - but I don't know the details anymore. I did this once, and despite their pressure sales tactics, it seemed worth the effort as the tickets are expensive.

I always just get one of my friends that work there to sign me in for the day.

...if you don't have that luxury, well, the FL Knifemaker's idea is the best you're going to get!

There's always a bunch of tickets going around. My old HS used to do a lot of stuff for disney and we'd get paid in disney tickets... and everyone always sold them. This way you get about $30-40 off the price of what you'd pay at the gate. But it's always sketch buying from people you don't know. Friends and family always bought mine... ask around I guess .

We're going again for the annual trip in a few weeks, and never group the flight, hotel, etc together. We do stay at a Disney resort though, and we do always get the free dining perk. Gotta love traveling in September
