We have a bunch of demo's in our 1st year UG lab which are used for schools, most of what we have is optical based, so it'd be nice to have something a bit different!

Cornflour and water sitting in an old car speaker humming at about 40 Hz gives for some really impressive displays. I think there's a video on YouTube but I'm on my phone right now so can't post a link. |

Only problem with that is I don't think you could leave it out without it going a bit minging! We did make cornflour goop in school for "gunging" our teachers on year.
