So I'm heading up to Chicago in a couple weeks for 5 days. Tell me TB, what do I need to do/see there?

In addition to what is mentioned in blender's thread, Transformers 3 is currently being filmed downtown. It might be wrapped up by the time you get here, but keep your eyes open.

I still stand by everything I recommended there. I can't recommend visiting Lakland enough, those guys are the coolest. Just be sure to set up a time with them. Also, Portillo's is an excellent place to get Chicago dogs--yet it has a big menu if you're with people who want something else.

Side note: Ft. Lauderdale and Gainesville are the only places I've lived in longer than Chicago (almost 7 years here). I work downtown, so if you're up for food and/or beer, let me know and maybe we can figure out a time.

I would be completely down for that, but I'll be traveling with my parents and its unlikely that I'll be able to break free from them for that. I'll let you know if that changes.

Take your parents along. Greg is a super cool guy, adaptable to all age groups.

People of all ages like to eat, so break bread with Mr. Chicago, GregC.

Ah, that's cool. Enjoy the trip, and let me know if you have any questions.
