No. I don't give them out. If you send me a card, I'll put it on my shelf till the end of the first week of January abouts and then throw them all out. There have been some exceptions and I've kept maybe 5 cards ever and I still carry them around. Not on my person, but in my house, you know?

Damn! I read impotent and had no clue what MM meant..

I usually send about a dozen of cards, however this year I didn't send any. I like to receive them though. It's nice to be remembered.

I'll probably send a couple of dozens of SMS's instead on christmas eve, and/or send some cards by e-mail. Christmas is definitely one of my fav holidays of the year.

Hallmark cards are impotent attempts to touch my heart.

Only if they have cash in them or are attached to very expensive presents!

I've pretty much given up on them. It's my wife's thing - she loves sending and receiving them. Me, I'm a bit of a humbug for all things Christmas.

Only one we get is important. It's one of those "look at my kid(s)" ones. My mom's got a friend. Her friend has a daughter that's my age, and she's drop dead gorgeous, and card = picture of girl. I like getting that card.

This year I put a little note in many of the cards just to fill people in on my current happenings.

I dig getting Christmas cards, especially when they include a news letter and photo. It's great to see how my distant friend's family has grown.
Here's a family pic my youngster drew.

Yes and no.

It's nice to know what people are up to, but that can all be achieved via email.

I'll take the email version. It's cheaper and more environmentally friendly, and I can keep it forever without taking up space.
