Christmas Gift for Professional Bass Player-HELP

Sign in to disble this ad
My boyfriend is a professional bass player. I am trying to think of something awesome to get him for Christmas. He plays a Lakland (I think it's the Skyline series?)
Sidenote- He knows a guy at Lakland and the bass he has was one from the Foo Fighter's bassist. Cool.

Anyways, I want to get him something really nice for his bass for Christmas and I'm not sure what would go well with that? I have been looking at things like

The EBS Fafner II... But I have not idea... Help, advice on products, etc would be beneficial for me.

A one of a kind gift. As soon as the other guys here see the thread they'll back me up on that.

Do you know his bandmates well enough to call up and ask if there's anything he's talked about wanting? If he's a pro, he's likely to have everything he needs and it's very difficult to make guesses about things that he wants without knowing a little more.

What type(s) of music does he play, for a start?

Get him a MoogerFooger Low Pass Filter. He'll love you long time, and he'll buy me a beer for suggesting it.

Show up nekkid and bearing a sandwich. That's all a guy really needs.

But for real - what's your budget?

A cool strap is always good. http://www.couchguitarstraps.com/ has some really nice, cool looking ones.
Ask his bandmates if he's been talking about needing or wanting anything as well.
