Christmas time is almost here!

Anyone have new bass guitar or gear wishes?

Or you are like me and you can only window shop.

I'm window shopping for a June 1973 Rickenbacker 4001, but I'd settle for a 4004L or a 4004cii...sigh...it sucks to be broke...

MONO cases dual bass case would be great for Christmas. Maybe the group I play with will pay me, and I'll be able to buy one. Problem is, I'll need the case for all these gigs we've got BEFORE they pay me....

Did I mention I'm newly unemployed? Dangit.

A jazz of some sort is on my list.
I'll probably go with a G&L tribute.

Hey. This is nothing, this middle-of-November thing. I play bass for a choir. They've been working on Christmas music since the end of September.

Coca-cola already has the polar bears on the can. That's how I know.
In terms of gifts, I'm so broke I can't even begin to think about what I want when I can't afford to get anybody else anything. I have had some thoughts about selling my current head and cab and getting one of those sweet little Genz shuttle 6.0-12t combos, and having a little cash left over to get my friends and family each a little something. Believe me, that's not a downgrade - all the volume I need, and I seriously dig the tone!

Yep, love the classic Christmas adverts! Already seen the Hershey's Kiss bells playing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", and Santa on the huge Norelco razor. That's how I know

Or the one where the M&M's are trying to meet Santa, and they make each other faint? Ah, nostalgia.

No, but new flooring for every room of the house is, so much so that I'm playing my guitar through my bass rig with a pedal board.

I kinda have to say screw that side of Christmas this year...entirely not feelin it, at all... and it's a month away. I usually am into the spirit of it, but infantile family drama outside of my household which I flat-out refuse to engage in has taken such a toll on my joy of it the past couple years now, that I would rather ignore it entirely. It's for more quality time with my kids and Wife, and that's about it.

That said, I'd love a Malekko H.I. B:Assmaster.

Hoping it's nice enough to hang lights this weekend.
I always have wishes. My wife wants to get the kids a kitten. I have had a hard stance against pets, but I fear I may loose this one. I told her if a kitten shows up, the UPS guy will soon follow with a bunch of Roscoe basses for me.

I want a Superbird for Christmas. Clearly, that's a pretty fanciful wish. Oh well. I like shopping for others more than receiving, and I particularly like picking out things for Toys for Tots, or shopping for a kid on the Angel Tree. It's lots of fun, and it makes you feel good.

Still...

Call me a Grinch but I'm done with Christmas. No presents for anyone after $550 on an new heater part and $1200 to pull dogs teeth. All of you's who were going to give me presents take them back. If you must give me something, donate to your favorite charity. Bah Humbug!

Time of work to play what I do have That is, if I can sneak away from familly, friends and relatives. I know I'll just invite all my musician friends and family over, that should do it. I did buy a full minature drum set for my 5-year-old grandson. Bwa-ha-ha
