How bad and what kind of seat material? (leather, cloth)

Best results would involve taking it to an automotive upholster.

You could try a DIY method (patch kit) at a much cheaper cost, but they usually wind up looking like a DIY'er did it.

You can also buy an OEM replacement seat cover (new material), but they are ridiculously expensive in most cases. (I work in a parts department)

I have nothing to add.....I left all my burns in my last car (and they were plentiful), just gave it more character I thought.

Best bet would be to check the aisles at PepBoys or take it to an automotive upholster as Chunk said.

This thread is exactly like every "how do I fix the first dent I put in my new bass" thread.

The second one won't hurt as much.

the only logical solution is to burn the rest of the seat.

This is NOT a Fassa thread.

Ok... Really off topic, but has anyone else ever chucked out the car window on the interstate traveling in excess of 80MPH? Don't know why I just thought of that.

Aerodynamics become a liability at that point.

Take it to an upholstery shop and have them replace the burned panel. If they can't match the material, have them replace the same panel in both front seats.

As an old boss of mine said, "When you play, you gotta pay".

It's part of the big bill you run up by smoking.
