Meh.

Some bits were good, but some were terrible.

Also what was up with clerks in B&W? I see the idea behind it but it just got annoying after a while.

Kevin didnt have enough money to shoot in colour.

Clerks was basically paid for with credit card debt, thus the cheap production values.

I didn't know that, still got a bit annoying though.

I was glad clerks 2 was in colour, and enjoyed it alot more than the first film, though i probably would've enjoyed it even if it was B&W.

I prefer clerks alot more than clerks 2.

I like the character it has being in B&W.

Clerks is far superior to Clerks 2. The bad production value is what adds to the charm of the original.

I dunno which I like best. Clerks 1 has the 37 thing, and the part where Dantes girlfriend accidently has sex with that dead guy.

Clerks 2 has the donkey thing. The part where Randall drops racial slurrs in the restaurante, and that weird dance from silence of the lambs.

Theres more funny stuff in both, matter of fact they are funny all the way through.

I dunno, Im not even supposed to be here today.

Clerks II is a hilarious movie. Haven't seen the first one, although I'm familiar with it.

The parts that made Clerks II worth it:

-Kinky Kelly
-The LotR rant
-The "Surprise" outside (Jason Mews)
-Pillow Pants

They're both great, but the first one is something you can feel a lot closer to in the heart, whereas the 2nd was a great great movie, but didn't get me the same way. Both hilarious though.

Clerk and Mallrats gave my friends and I a whole slew of one-liners for about 2 years in college. The other films weren't as good, in my opinion. All of them were funny, but the first two really did it for me. Maybe it was my age, I dunno.

Wow, I think you are probably a lot younger than I thought you were.

Huh. I thought my rampant immaturity would have been a dead giveaway.

I graduated highschool in 1993. Clerks came out right around 1994, if I recall. Mallrats was released in 1995(?). I'm 33. How old did you think I was?

I always thought Clerks 1 was more of a masterpiece and that alot of the jokes in Clerks 2 were pushed/forced.

Clerks 2 was still good tho

Or is this commentary on the fact that one needs to be quite young to find those movies funny? I'm getting slow in my old age. Well played, Mark Latimour...well played.

Mike

I figured you were in your mid to late 40s. At a pinch I would say around 46. That is based on the "Lindfield ratio" of cranky old guy posts to actual informative postings. You score quite well.
