In essence, it's a trick of perspective.

In essence, it's a trick of perspective. | Actually based on a few visual clues, I can identify both aircraft as Boeing 737's. The closer one is an early smaller version (-200 or -300 at best), the one further away is a newer version (can't be certain, but it's a -800 or -900 at a guess, which is a fairly large-ish critter).
However, you are correct in either event, that's a perspective issue, those aircraft are not THAT close in the photo.

What I meant was that the relative size of the planes was not immediately obvioue to me
