Closing Ceremony

Has anyone seen it? How does it compare to the opening ceremony or the 2004 Athens closing ceremony? Please don't give away specifics.

I'm gonna see it on NBC tonight.

How do you think the London organizers will do in 2012?

It's a shame that Jimmy page played with a stupid pop star and only shredded a solo for less than 20 seconds.

I expected more. Blegh.

They better hire some Chinese or North Koreans for their opening ceremony.

Did it sound like crap when you heard it? It sounded like a mic in the corner of the stadium...

Not quite up to opening ceremony standards. But then again, will there EVER be anything that lives up to that?

Closing ceremony was really cool. However, I though the London "Cultural" presentation was terrible... almost as bad as the 2012 logo

I was expecting Beckham to do something spectacular, but I was disappointed.

Really not sure to be honest, thankfully it isnt just in London, because it is UK funding it is spread throughout the UK , but, I really dont know what is going to happen. Especially with 3 or 4 of the biggest olympic sponsors backing out after Bejing and with the UK essentially in a recession, it doesnt boad well

During the last winter olympics when they were doing the hand-over to Canada, was anyone else thinking "Avril Lavene is the best you can do for a Canadian music act? I WANT RUSH! WHERE THE **** IS GEDDY ****ING LEE?!"?

At home thinking to himself that Avril Lavigne is one attractive Canadian lass?

That's what I'd be doing anyway.

Nah, Tokyo's where it's at. Another chance to see row upon row of Asian cheerleaders in the opening ceremony again.

China had attractive women at every turn. I just don't see where England is going to get that many attractive women. Perhaps new immigration standards.

I love hot Asian chicks in skimpy cheerleader outfits as much as anyone else, we can raid Chinatown for that.

Was anybody else a little miffed as to why Micheal Phelps wasn't given the honour of carrying the flag in for the closing ceremony. Looked like most other countries had their greatest scoring athlete carrying their flag, Was great seeing Chris Hoy bringing ours in.

And all I can say is thank God our Boris didn't drop the flag, could have done with buttoning his jacket though
