Wow.. Never really thought of Are You Dead Yet as their old stuff.. Anyway, they're alright, not a huge fan anymore though, but their old stuff is still a good introduction to power and death metal.

Shouldn't this be in Misc. or Recordings?

I personally think they are really bad.

Used to be a fan of them, but after a while they started to repeat themselves. AYDY was a shame. The last album is an attempt to return to teh past, but still sounds kinda like industrial stuff. They are like metal version of Kenny G: same notes played over and over at fast speed.

Had never heard of them.

Went and watched a few YouTube vids...

Uh... sorry but... blehhh!

I'm gonna have to download some equally awful Captain and Tenille at the other end of the spectrum just to get myself back into some sort of equilibrium!!

If they somehow got Korn to open a tour for them (I know it wouldn't happen) you'd have Korn on the COB.

and really really funny

Personally, Children of Bodom is one of the few metal bands that I enjoy, and I was just wondering what made them "fake metal to you?

First learned of COB on Nuclear Blast's Death Is Just The Beginning Vol. 6 dvd. Saw a video for one of their songs. Didn't like it.

Then I saw them live. And I saw their dueling guitar/keyboard solo.

I was instantly converted. Saul didn't convert faster than I did.
