My wife thinks it's disgusting but I NEVER wash my coffee mug. I only drink black coffee so I find nothing unsanitary about drinking my joe and then rinsing the cup afterward (it's my personal cup). I like the dark stain that builds up inside the cup and I feel that it adds to the flavor (like that old iron skillet that grandma has). I get pretty irritated when my cup gets "accidentally" washed because it seems to take away a lot from the morning joe experience and it will take months to build the stain up again.
Am I just weird or are there others out there who like their fave cup rinsed but not washed? |

I do handwash my favorite cappuccino mug most days but I use a sponge and soap.

Dude just swish it around with your fingers in the water...use a sprayer...dry it and save it for tomorrow. If you keep on looking for germs some day you'll find them.
Define washing. Scrubbing? Soap? Dishwasher?
If you rinse and scrub everything you cook and eat with immediately after, soap is a luxury and not a necessity, depending - of course - on your cooking methods.
Wrought-iron skillets, woks, frying pans, and metal grilles can steam clean themselves if kept hot and doused with or scrubbed with a brush dipped in hot water just after cooking (and/or before when it comes to prepping a BBQ/Grille for cooking)
Vegetable water, sauces, casseroles, etc. are a different story.
I think that you're a weirdo for having to ask us if it's alright that you are trying to build patina on your coffee mug.
Get better coffee and swish the thing out with your hands.
For the record, 'Greasy old skillets' are the best things to cook with provided the grease is applied after it steams itself clean and is wiped out properly.

What's better coffee? I don't do designer stuff. Only Mac users and metrosexuals drink that goo. I like bulk Navy coffee in the 5 pound can ESPECIALLY when it's about 24 hours old |

But, you're already retarded, so it probably won't do much more harm. |
