Some people say, "My favorite coffee is Kona" or "My favorite coffee is Jamaica Blue Mountain" etc... which is, to me, a pretty nonsensical statement because all growing regions can vary widely from year-to-year and according to which farm, what altitude etc...
Having said that some of my favorite coffees of the past have been various particular Ethiopian Harrar and Sidamo microlots, a particularly spectacular Kenya Gethumbwini from a few years back, last year's Yemen Moka San'ani was quite good and I also tend to favor a good dry-processed Brazil. Last year I had an exceptional Brazilian from the Jacaranda area. A lot of my faves do tend to be dry-processed...which is kinda too bad since they make a mess of chaff when roasting! Love 'em though.

I don't have an espresso machine at home either. But if there were some nice beans available, I probably would have one. I love single Yemen Moka, but only had that grounded and brewed. |

I'm also a big fan of Turkish coffee. |

I drink that black with no sugar, extra strong (I put in about 3 scoops from the coffee spoon into the grinder, when you're supposed to use one for a moderately strong cup. I like my coffee like tar.)

Usually a good old 8 cup caffitiere does it for me. Italian roast, Taylors "Lazy Sunday" or Douwe Egberts (whatever the green pack is).

Several years ago one of the guys I worked with did some work in Jamaica. I think he left all of his clothes behind when the job was done, because he came back with a suitcase full of Blue Jablum coffee. I got kind of spoiled on that stuff.
