Cologne/Aftershave Recommendations

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm wanting to try out some new colognes but as far as newer colognes I don't really know whats out there.

Ones I currently wear are: Obsession for Men, Paul Sebastion, Lagerfeld, Polo, an aftershave balm called Decadence for Men and sometimes Addias and Halston.

Any recommendations on what I could try other than those listed above would be nice. This way I'll have some rough ideas of what might smell good without having to drive the department clerk crazy in the process.

I currently use this one:

It's very fresh and not so heavy as some other ones I've tried.

I have two bottles of EdT that I don't use because I don't like them at all: Boss' Instinct and Ralph Lauren's Romance. The former has a strange sweet smell and the other is too heavy. I also have a bottle of Mexx's waterlove, and that one I enjoy.

I either use

Davidoff Cool Water

or

Fahrenheit by Dior

Both have been my "go to" fragrances for the better part of a decade. I also enjoy it when my girlfriend uses them, I much prefer women waring mens fragrances, which are clean and pleasant, as opposed to perfumes which are often overly-flowery and sweet for my nose.

I've never felt so satisfied with a fragrance as with this one:

Perry Ellis has a line called 360 as they come in round bottles....

My favorites are perry Ellis 360 White
followed by Perry Ellis 360 Black

however the wife peactically attacks me when i wear Perry Ellis 360 Blue

there is also 360 Red
and just straight Perry Ellis 360

all of them rock and the bottle well....see it for yourself...lol

I don't know...let me take a time machine back to junior high and consult with myself then...

Ok, turns out I wore Polo which I got in free samples from the department store where my mom worked. After that I stepped up to Drakkar. Then I stepped up to not wearing cologne.

Thanks fella's. I just got back from shopping not too long ago. I decided to go with Armani and Perry Ellis 360 White.

I did check them all out though.

The woman behind the counter was a bit of an ass though. She kept handing me swatches of the different scents and seemed reluctant at first to part with those nice tiny little bottles of tester cologne. Its a good thing she did part with a few of them cause I almost went with Fahrenheit because on the swatch it smelled really good, but on my body was an entirely different story. So now I've got the two colognes I bought and at least a half dozen little tester viles of various other colognes.

Anyone who says Old Spice gets +1. Anyone who says Axe gets +1. Anyone who says both gets +3 because it's a combo package +1.

A beautiful redhead recommended Burberry and a stout girl I know said BBQ sauce works for her. I use the Burberry. I only use a single squirt as more than that is too much. One of these days I'm going to try rubbing myself down with money to see what happens.

If anyone answers Patchouli I will retort with a massive fail.

Patchouli does NOT smell good.

Old Spice aftershave is all I use now. Cost effective and the general reaction is nice.

I used to wear Nautica cologne on occasion.
