A new anti-meth program started here in Colorado. Anyone else have this start in their state? |

There are tweakers everywhere, and quite frankly, it's much cheaper and easier to get than anything else. I have seen a few people loose control of their lives through it. |

Having said that: Kinda/sorta a good name for a punk band.

Also made it a real pain for me to get motrin for my daughter when she was running fevers. Had to fill out 4 pages of freaking paperwork to get a small bottle of children's pain reliever...all the while she's screaming and crying and running 102 fever.

I'm not sure how it works but they keep it under lock and key and you have to show ID. They probably do a slight background check and I think you are limited to how much you can buy at one time.
Slightly OT: lately around here people have been holding up pharmacies for Oxycontin,...which is an opiate based painkiller. The pharmacies have had to install time based safes to keep their Oxy in. |

We've had PSAs for years, since I was in high school. The billboards they're running at this point are extremely graphic...Use meth, and you won't haveto worry about getting lipstick on your teeth again, while showing a girl with rotten meth teeth, etc. There's another one about not worrying about clear skin that shows a girl clawing her own skin off. Looks like a horror movie trailer. I hope they're effective; I've seen enough to know that those aren't exaggerated photos.
They're still running the "meth, not even once" ads, in addition to others here, too, and some specifically targeting the Reservations around the area. I think it may be the scourge of my generation, and the one behind it.

| | | | We have our ' tweak heads ' here in Nebraska too. Shake and Bake is the current popular method of manufacturing, especially in hotel rooms in Omaha. We also seem to be ' bust central ' on the I-80 pipe line that runs through the state for both meth producers and big haul weed transporters. Our State Troopers catch these clowns with as much regularity and ease it seems, as shooting fish in a barrel.
