| | Fan of the N.O. Saints | | | | | the colts for sure.
i think if New England is given the chance they might make it, but it really looks like it's going to be San Diego.

Oh well, we can dream, can't we?

They'll lose in the second round. Their play-calling stinks, they're one-dimensional (Brady-to-Welker all day, as nauseum) on offense, they have no pass rush, their young corners are inexperienced, and Belichick is having a bout of pig-headedness. A dynasty on the decline, as all dynasties must at some time in their history.
But please God, not the Jets!

But please God, not the Jets! | I don't mean to be mean, but you are correct in your assessment of the Pats. It's sad and strange to see them so wobbly. I was kind of surprised to see them in the title of this thread quite frankly.

If the Jags win against Indy and NE, then they could leave or take the Browns, and I think the card will be Miami/Jacksonville.

I predict Chargers beat the Colts in the AFC Championship. I don't think Cincy will really the top-notch teams and New England's defense isn't championship caliber, it isn't really even playoff-caliber. If NE can pull it together and play better defense down the stretch, they have a chance. But, I don't think this is the year for NE. The Colts have chinks in the armor and SD always gives them problems. I think SD will win, but it could go either way.

But please God, not the Jets! | pretty much, and this is what a lot of people fail to realize when they go on their "the dynasty is dead" rants. you can't keep a team together for a decade without replacing major cogs in the machine, and this is most definitely a rebuilding year. we've got a huge transition in defense going on, from an old, slow, but experience cast to this new, faster, but woefully inexperienced one. it will probably take a couple of years to get it together properly. so the offense was supposed to carry the team, but then you've got brady coming back one year after what is basically a two year injury, plus being banged up as the season goes (which will happen). what's more is that the offense also really misses josh mcdaniels, or some sort of offensive coordinator. since the pats won their first superbowl back in '01-'02 we've lost 4 coordinators too other teams, and they've always promoted from within.. but at the rate they've lost coordinators i think at some point you've got to bring someone from the outside in (hopefully this offseason). I'm also a big Brees fan when he was a our starting QB, but Rivers is not doing all that bad. I'm hoping the Chargers win the whole thing, but I would'nt be all that disapointed of the Saint take it all so I wouldn't hear that loud mouth Mercury Morris boasting about the fin's perfect season the last century.
