Oh HELL ya!! Running AutoX I was drifting 30 years before it became popular

We saw an Atom parked in Ybor City last night, very cool car indeed.

Yeah! I saw one on a show about Jay Leno's cars. He has one and is a real fan.

Actually, I've driven Auto-X for years and have no interest in drifting. It seems like nothing more than burning up tire rubber. I really enjoy seeing a good driver take on a road course, but drifting just doesn't do it for me.

The car setup is totally oposite of what an Auto X setup would be as well and FWD isn't happening.

I get that. And more power to the folks who enjoy it! I guess since I grew up watching road racing, I'm more attuned to it.

IMO FWD isn't a great platform for performance cars anyway, if they need to be outstanding in handling - they're all just that bit more nose-heavy. The difference may not show up until you hit 9/10ths, but it's there.

I agree with you on FWD but in the < 150hp AutoX classes I ran in, it was all pretty even. I used to much prefer to drive an FWD car for AutoX...........but now I own a Z4 with traction control. I guess I'm confused or starting to show my age

Step right in and join the club, friend! There's much craftiness among us folks with a few decades of experience in that sport.

You do have a ASC over-ride in the cockpit you know. But I suspect it's tire manufacturers that push drifting.

That video was so jumpy from the lipstick cameras. I think I might throw up.
