I think it's suppose to be more of a "look how stupid commercials+marketing are" thing, than a "let's make fun of the mentally handicapped".

Between The State and Upright Citizens Brigade, i loved 90s sketch comedy (though honestly i never got into Kids in the Hall). Shoot, regarding 'The State', one of my friends used the '...so good i wanna dip my balls in it' refference yesterday.
