anyone else run into this problem? im gonna run a virus scan

download it, install, update and then do a full scan

If they don't help, do some research and try hijack this, yes it's not nooby friendly, but has fixed some otherwise impossible browser issues for me in the past.
The free tools available these days can do some amazing fixes, to be honest very little scares me these days armed with the proper tools.
