Malware. Install adaware and/or spybot. Go ahead and throw in the virus scan.

FYI sounds more like a browser hijack to me, try the hijack this tool.

Download and run:
rkill
While processes are stopped, run:
TDSSkiller
Malwarebytes
HitmanPro3.5

You should check and possibly restore your hosts file: HostsXpert

+1000 I used to use Ad-Aware and Spybot. Ad-Aware got
pretty bloated. Spybot is still very good. However, Malwarebytes
is lean and mean. This is the best right now.

Malwarebytes is very good, but not much help for a rootkit, which is why I advised user to use hitman pro and tdsskiller.

Hijackthis is for more advanced users; for someone who doesn't know what they are looking at, it's not much help.

I had the same issue and spybot fixed it, hence the spybot reference.

I'm more than happy with Malwarebytes and Spybot and use both often.
If they don't help, do some research and try hijack this, yes it's not nooby friendly, but has fixed some otherwise impossible browser issues for me in the past.
The free tools available these days can do some amazing fixes, to be honest very little scares me these days armed with the proper tools.
