Computer help-ethernet cable

I want to run an extra long ethernet cable. I have a 25' cable and a 10' cable. Is there some kind of male to male adapter available so that I could couple these two together to make a 35 footer? I've looked but all I can find is a way to splice the cables together or buy an expensive run. Thanks.

Buy cables on Ebay - cheeeeeep.

Also, you're well within the max length of an ethernet cable - easy to research online.

Monoprice.com is the best place to buy cables and other stuff.

Here's the adaptor you're asking about.

You could also just buy a super long cat5 cable for just as cheap.
I buy stuff from them and have had zero issues with quality.

cat5e is good up to 100m. cat6 will run 185m, if it's shielded.

and you should be able to get a 50' cable with snagless ends for under $20. i got a kit from dalco with crimpers, 50 ends, and 500' of cat5e for about $30. haven't bought a cable since.

As always, you all come through. Cool site Linas. I did try a search but must've been using the wrong words. Thanks again everyone.

This is just gee whiz info, but is it possible to run too long of an ethernet cable?

Yeah after about 100(about 330 feet) meters you start to lose signal quality.
