Computer techs, virus help.

My computer stared running really slowly and some pages won't load at all. I ran Spybot and found that I indeed did have a virus. It is called Virtumonde.dll. Spybot says the file is called urqPheCU.dll_old.

I tell pybot to fix the problem and it says it does, but then when I run spybot again it still finds the file. So I don't think spybot is really removing it. When I go find the file myself and try to delete it it's write protected or is in use and I can not delete it.

I'm not really all that computer savy, can any of you help?

Give that a shot. Follow the directions.

Also when booting up, launch your pc into "safe mode" by hitting F8 after a boot up but before the windows screen starts to load. Run Spybot in safe mode.

I had virtumonde once in the past. I think I just ran AdAware in safe mode and it took care of it.

you may have to disable system restore and reboot for it to get rid of it.

Go to start>control panel> system. There will be a tab called system restore. Uncheck it, and it will give you a warning. click ok, then fix the virus, then restart.
