So what did everyone think? I thought it was pretty good, bashing NBC and making fun of TBS got old after a while but I can't blame him. Soundgarden should be cool tomorrow.

Watched it out of curiosity, I never watch TV, but saw the debut was tonight and tuned in.

Caught myself grinning, but I think it had more to do with pulling for the underdog than anything irresistably funny.

Spent more time trying to figure out what kind of bass was onstage?????

Yeah, Some kind of jazz shape, not sure what though. I didn't get a good look but it didnt seem to have a traditional pickguard.

I thought it was good. The backstage noise during the Glee girl's interview was hilarious.

I think late night talk shows have gone to hell in a handbasket. I never thought I'd say this, but Craig Ferguson seems to be the best of the bunch.

After Conan tonight I watched the first few minutes of Lopez Tonight for the first time ever. The only thing that kept me lingering was their bassist. He was throwing down some fat grooves, haven't heard that kind of stuff from Talk Show bands before. I'll have to check out their band.

It's good to have Conan back though. I am sure I will only catch an episode every now and then, but once he gets back into the swing of it I am sure his show will be great.

I may have watched it if TBS hadn't advertised it every 9.5 mins. By the time it rolled around I was so sick of hearing about it, it was the last thing I wanted to watch.

I think he's pretty funny but was rather let down by his second annual first episode. I did enjoy him making fun of himself though.

If it is still the same guy that played for him before, it is a Lull.

whatever bass it was, it definitely had a Lakland style oval bridge.

I really enjoyed Conan.

I lol'd when he was getting shot up at the beginning, mostly because of the stupid look on his face

I thought it was a semi-solid first show, you could tell he was nervous and a bit rusty, but he was on his game, was witty, and was good on the fly in the moment. That Glee chick was a total waste visit. Rogen was funny and engaging if only talking about his engagement...

the band was great, I thought the end number was a bit gratuitous, but was nice just the same. Jack White is an odd due lately.

Seth Rogen was self-absorbed and not very interesting. Conan seemed a little nervous. The opening was good and the conclusion better than I expected. When Conan gets used to the new situation, things should be pretty good. The girl from Glee needed to be on a little longer. That might have given things more balance. She seemed grateful to be there for some reason, and it would have been a good idea if Conan could have capitalized on that to lighten the mood. But for a first show, this first night was about all that could be expected.

I only caught the first half or so of the show (then the nyquil kicked in and I was out), but I really enjoyed what I saw. Andy Richter was probably the biggest surprise, as he was actually funny (a rarity for him recently). I didn't like Seth Rogen as the first guest, but that's largely because I don't like Seth Rogen. I can't say I'll watch him all the time since I generally don't stay up that late, but if I am up and he's on, I'll definitely tune in.

I, too, only saw about the first half or so. I thought the opening bit where Conan went to India (?) to make dye for the curtains was hilarious. The band rawked, and Seth Rogen was a little too self-absorbed to be funny. Conan was funny as always, I like the format; I think it will be a good show.

Bass was a lakland jazz bass with chi-sonic pickups through an Aguilar AG500 combo. (1x12 or 2x12?).

To me, it felt just like watching the old Conan (cuz c'mon thats what everyone referred to his old show as anyway, which is why I am assuming he named it that, not so that it would be harder to replace him), except he has a beard now and I dont have to stay up til 1am to watch it.

I thought it was fine, if a bit awkward. Andy and Conan have MASSIVE chemistry. Great comedy team. Seth Rogen's laugh grates on me a bit, and the Glee girl was pretty dull, but the band rocked and it was cool to see Conan and Jack White rip through a classic.

Meh is what I thought about it. He was never my favorite, and he really didn't handle the split well. And no, I'm not a Leno fan either, no bias there.

It was alright last night, may tune in tonight just for the music. We'll see.
