NBC is run by a bunch of morons. I can see that this isn't going to work out for them in the end. Conan is going to go to another network and rape the ratings.

What would really suck is if they make it effective immediately and he doesn't even get to do next week's shows.

I lost a lot of respect for NBC and Leno.

They would have better ratings if they just ran reruns of Family Guy.

I hope Conan takes NBC for all he can. It sounds like he passed on a lot of opportunities while waiting those 5 years for The Tonight Show. I hope he's on for another week, and I hope the jabs are better than they have been.

If he stays on for another week, I'm sure a team of attorneys is hanging around to make sure he doesn't torpedo the boat.

The stupidest thing ever.

Of course, who loses is the viewers, because he'll probably be locked out of any shows for at least a few years.

NBC doing some serious backpedaling to correct what many knew to be a huge mistake. Now they have a big mess, a lot of animosity, and hurt feelings on their hands.

I personally think they FUBAR'd the whole late night scenario on their network. The residue of drama will stick for a long time. I've lost interest, I think I'm going to CBS late night for as long as I can stand it.

Hopefully he can keep his staff together, he's moved roughly 150 people out to LA from NYC in an awful economy and now they're pretty well all screwed now too.

True, but think of the press they're getting because of it.

The way I understand it is that both shows are currently suffering from low ratings, especially when one considers the ratings that Leno had while hosting the Tonight Show.

The new Leno show simply could not compete with the "actual" shows that it was paired against in that time slot, and Conan's Tonight Show suffered from not having an actual lead-in (ie. a show that airs before it that will attract some viewers).

I like Conan, I don't like Leno, and after all of this, I really don't like NBC.

I think this is a terrible part of this ordeal that has been overlooked.
