Yeah, not gonna see that. Not even because Isla Fisher is really hot.
Sorry, I see the damn commercial incessantly and cannot believe someone greenlighted that. Talk about a threadbare premise for a rom-com.

And yes, I deserve a "fail" for typing rom-com.

There. I'm done.

I'll wait for this to hit the $5 bin before I ignore it more.

This is the kind of movie you rent when you shoot up heroin, so you have more of an excuse.

Hot Rod is one of the best movies ever. I'd put it up with Strange Wilderness and Dewey Cox.

I love it. Easily one of my all-time favorites.

Am I the only person who did not know the guys in that movie are all on SNL? I was watching SNL a few months ago, and I thought the hosts were the stars of Hot Rod. My buddy had to tell me those guys are on every week, they are cast members. I watch SNL much more now.

You're not SUPPOSED to like that kind of movie. You do not have ovaries and boobs. It's based on a book series appealing to WOMEN.

Sheesh.

Oh come now, that is the sexist easy way cop-out. I am not immune to "chick flicks" as I have seen many with my Wife, and now that you say that, even my Wife thinks the premise is contrived and idiotic.

Sheesh

The books are actually good. I have no idea if the movie is, but I liked the books.

Hey, that's cool. This could very well be a case of the adverts doing the movie absolutely no favors. I would love to be proven wrong but have no desire to find out.

well, being female does help with that I'd imagine (I looked at your profile before I posted this. )

Now, if there was a TV show called XTREME SHOPPING of DEATH i'd watch it, where you had to race against 12 other people with a limited number of items scattered in a store. That'd be cool.

My girlfriend's sister read the books, and my girlfriend read the first one out of curiosity. She hated it, and basically said it was about a girl who racks up an obscene amount of debt, finds Mr. Right, and then magically gets everything worked out so that she doesn't have to change her financially irresponsible ways.

Great lesson being learned there.

The book was more than that. It was funny and quirky. Normally I read sci-fi and fantasy so to like those kinds of books is rare for me. I thought they were light and clever. There's a whole series.

Definitely not manly books tho. You'd have to shred your man card for just reading the back cover.

Switch the genders around and you're looking at my five-year-plan...

But really, I've got no right to joke here, because some character from Gossip Girl was in the crossword the other day... I had to phone a friend ala Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Moral of the story: Even if it costs you your man card, you may be able to finish a crossword one day.

You didn't know they were on SNL? Those guys are the only reason that SNL is even remotely worth watching from time to time.
