Non smoker BTW. |

Non smoker BTW. | +1. I don't smoke, I don't plan to ever smoke, and I would discourage anyone I meet from smoking........ but alcohol is a much larger problem.
In reference to the ad, it seems more inflammatory than persuasive.

All righty, then.
Why don't they just compare smoking to the holocaust and say tobacco companies are Hitler? If they're going to go this far they might as well go all the way.

In reference to the ad, it seems more inflammatory than persuasive. | I know someone who has 22 years in AA, and quitting took them 4 more years on top of that. And they said that quitting [chewing] tobacco was 10 times harder cause it has such an addicting affect to it. I'm sure smoking is about the same, but varies from person to person. |

I smoke, and I enjoy it. The dirty secret to the whole situation is that smoking is awesome. Unfortunately, the health risks combined with the additives that most major cigarette brands come with make it a very risky leisure activity, and I wouldn't recommend starting.
In regards to the add--its a little tasteless, but there's definitely a lot of "slave-to-the-habit" truth to being a regular smoker. |

The most-quoted statistic puts 20% of our country as smokers. Call it a guess, but I suspect that more than one in five of us drink. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
