Cookie Fail

So I got the urge to make some peanut butter cookies. This would be my first time ever making cookies from scratch. Making the dough was fine, baking was fine and they have come out lightly golden with a nice texture (soft but with a bit of a crunch.) Basically seemingly great for a first try. However, I did not realise the tray had been used earlier today to bake some battered fish and that there was still some trace of oil on it.

That's right, I have fish flavoured peanut butter cookies

I'll bet a dog would love them.

Dogs eat their own crap though.

Ah well, they're not so bad I can't still eat them. Waste not, want not and all that.

It's like Frosty the Snowman came back as a cookie and is pissed about it.

umm... cut the bottom off? it works with burnt cookies, and i think id rather take in a mouthful of charcoal than pb and fish snacks. (also- theres a thread on this page regarding "gross junk food combinations," though maybe the fish wasnt originally part of the junk food...)

aside from not mixing them with fish, i would say the best advice i can give about cookie making is to sift your white sugar and flour. if you buy giant bags of flour, or simply dont bake often, the flour clumps together, which makes for not awesome cookies.

Wouldn't work, as the flavour has infused throughout the whole cookie during the baking process. I didn't tell my dad before offering him one and he said he rather like the flavour. Strange man my father.

And yes, it is always important to make sure the flour is not clumped.

I made peanut butter fudge in my pants about an hour ago. It also has a strange smell.

But the important question is how did it taste?
