I actually went to school to be a chef and quit once i started working in an actual restaurant setting. (cooking for an absurd amount of people night after night just got tedious)

my favorite dish to make at home is...

Pan seared boneless chicken breast dropped into a bouillon reduction....then top with sugar cured bacon, grilled onions, smoked provolone, portabello mushrooms, and my own personal honey mustard vidalia onion sauce...

served with rice or mixed veggies and mashed taters....

my second favorite dish to make is seafood gumbo...

I just learned how to make lasagna.

I'm going to be making lasagna a lot.

I still love chopping up some tenderloin into fillets and roasting those up...

Hey SuperDuck... Rob's marinated fillets...

I was actually just thinking about Rob's steaks tonight. I can't wait until it's warm enough to grill again.

Steak over charcoal or wood is probably my favorite.

I also love making a curried chicken and rice dish that I learned from my Mom, and a chicken pita taco stir fry thing that I came up with.

I love to cook, but I don't like the hassle that goes with it.

If I could get somebody to chop all of my veggies for me, and clean up after me, I would probably cook 3 or 4 nights a week.

Maybe I should become a chef!

I made up a decent recipe for a simple meat sauce for pasta that I love to make...just some browned ground beef, some diced tomatoes..jar of pasta sauce...cheese and spices...impressed the hell out my friends at least...and its relatively cheap so it fits my no-job college budget

Any kind of pasta really. I've made a lot of friends in my travels cooking a heaping pot of pasta to share with good company.

I like to cook basically anything that tastes good. Sometimes I want to make something that's ready in 10 minutes, but sometimes I can make things that takes a few hours too if I'm in the right mood.

I don't like to cook unless I have certain side ingredients available, so I try to always have these ingredients at home:

Pasta (tagliatelle or penne)/potatoes/rice (basmati or jasmin)
Heavy cream/sourcream/cocos milk/milk
Butter/olive oil
Onions or onion powder
Garlic or garlic powder
Whole black, white, green and rosé peppers
Other spices (chili powder, cayenne powder, various herbs, cumin, ginger etc)
A certain kind of fish sauce (for those thai/asian style dishes)
Vinegars - rosso, blanco and balsamico
Eggs
Salt
One or a few kinds of cheese (fresh cheese (non-flavoured), parmesan, blue cheese, feta...)
Stock cubes or fondues

Furthermore, I don't like to cook unless I have these things available:
Good space to cook
Good (sharp and comfortable) knifes and cutting boards, and a kitchen scissor
Enough other tools for stirring, mixing etc.
A few sauce and frying pans
Water boiler
And of course a good stove and oven.

If all this is in order, I enjoy cooking very much.

I enjoy cooking, but I'm the type that wants to cook when they're hungry...not in anticipation of becoming hungry. I find that if I start cooking when I'm not hungry that by the time the food is ready I'm not intereted in eating it. So, everything I make is prety much as quick as possible and I generally only spice with black and red pepper.
