If Bryzgalov has a good year, they could go to the SC Finals.

My wife is going to be blow away by this article.
For 5 years now, she's been telling me that one foggy morning when she was driving to work on a pretty desolate road, she saw a "wolf" run across the street right in front of her car. (This was right near the Sourland Mountains for anyone familiar with Jersey).
I was telling her there are no wolves here and that it must have been a coyote. She's been maintaining for years that it was too big to be a coyote and it's colors looked just like a wolf. Maybe she did see a coyote but if what the article says is true, the thing might very well have been part wolf.

Regardless, those things are smart as heck.

Yup.

I like the mention of Canus soupus for a description of how dog species can interbreed so readily. Very odd....but cool.

I come across them all the time out at our land. I once saw a pair loping by in which one had a gouged out eye with blood running down it's face and the other was following on three legs. Clearly the two had bitten off more than they could chew that morning. My guess is they tangled with some hogs.
I once saw one chasing a roadrunner too and predictably the roadrunner escaped.

They don't typically seem too alarmed by me.

they are very common down here { south texas }
and are indeed very smart critters .

i didn't read the article , my laptop takes forever to load , but i have seen two different colors of coyote locally ...
some are a gray , and some are a light brown .

my dog tried to befriend a lone coyote once , and was rewarded with a nice scar on her muzzle ...
she was lucky to get away alive .

there is a pack that lives in the woods near my house , and i hear them yelping almost every night .

there have been many pet cats and small dogs gone missing lately ...

Very cool article. The paragraph about cooperative hunting really fascinated me. Smart little mutts there!
