It's not people that are missing [though some may be, IDK], but land.

And I didn't "EDIT II" I quoted myself

Cuba?

The journals from the Portola Expedition (first Euro overland expedition of present day California) are interesting, particularly the bits through Orange County and the Los Angeles Basin. I'm paraphrasing, but it was like:

DAY 28: We came upon an Indian village and traded fish for beads

DAY 29: A band of friendly Indians accompanied us all day

DAY 30: Passed an Indian village, traded with them

DAY 31: Met an Indian hunting party, etc. etc.

It's crazy to thing to think how many indigenous folk lived in what is now present day Smell A (I can call it that, I was born there! )

There is that Island off the coast of Southeastern Canada. It doesn't look like any map I've ever seen:

Being anal again.

Some of the names are written in larger font than others. Is that the main tribe, then the smaller names are off shots of the main tribe?

There are many more Indian tribes than I thought there were.
