Well, I am on this stage all the time... It's the stage from my school at Musicians Institute... They have made some incredible players. One of which a lead character in this story, legendary guitard, Frank Gambale.
WELL, for my live sound class I was playing bass, because I was the only guy in class that doesn't play Guitar or drums and this lesson was setting up bass and drums.
Well, There I stood playing bass for awhile, no biggie when they were done I stopped and walked off stage and got back to the sound.
So tonight, I was listening to this Guitard, Frank Gambale, and I find an OLD video of him when he went to my school (or shortly after graduation in early 80's) and I notice in the headline "Frank Gambale and Jaco Pastorious"
Well... Turns out Jaco has played on my stage, right where I stood and mic'ed up many basses. The stage hasn't been changed since the school opened in the early 70's, the room around it has however.
So I thought that was pretty cool... Not a lot of the venues where Jaco played are still around, at least the smaller ones.. But mine is, and I stood right where he was and jammed out for awhile.
