His insight really opened my eyes and helped me realize how amazing life is.
One of my favorite quotes of his is in one of the hooks on this video: "We are a way for the cosmos to know itself." That blew my mind when I was younger.

Mickey, will be discussing sounds from space on the upcoming “The Universe: Pulsars & Quasars” Scheduled to air on The History Channel-Tuesday, October 27th @ 09:00 PM Here,is a direct link to listen now.
Mickey Hart, became a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to seek to establish new knowledge and develop more effective therapies which awaken, stimulate and heal through the extraordinary power of music - continuing his investigation into the connection between healing and rhythm, and the neural basis of rhythm. In 2003, he was honored with the organization’s Music Has Power Award, recognizing his advocacy and continuous commitment to raising public awareness of the positive effect of music.
Bringing all this up because Richard Feynman, was prominently featured in the clip. The opening scene, shows him enthusiastically drumming away no less.
I have noticed that many forward thinkers are really musicians at heart.
I've been wanting to take some time and read Ray Kurzweil's works. That might be a good inspirational font, from which to draw upon for some new musical direction.
Maybe this thread is the cosmic trigger with regards to that?
Thanks JT. |

Same story for me. Carl Sagan is my favorite author and I regret that I will never be able to read anything more from him since his death.
Thanks for posting this clip - it's fantastic.
