Could you live in a house that someone was murdered in?

While watching Dateline NBC this question struck me. If you knew that the previous residents were murdered, could you live in that house?

I honestly don't think I could or would want to.

Depends on the situation. If I was dead broke, i would live in just about any type of household.

I think I would prefer to not know, I'd been quite sceptic if I was told by the broker/landlord something like, "Oh and here's the living room where the previous tenant strangled his wife before he chopped her up in pieces and threw her in the river" ...

sure

I didn't kill them, why not. I knew a friend of a friend that killed an intruder in his parent's house with a crossbow (no charges filed), and they being morbid tiled a custom body outline into the flooring as a reminder. In the hills of Virginia that's called a joke, and deterrent to the next guy. You don't break into a hunter's house, uh, ever.

I think it'd be pretty cool- until the restless spirits start giving you all hell.
Yes, I do believe in the supernatural.
Still, it would also be cool to witness an exorcism...

When I was a kid there was a neighbor down the street that bought a car from the estate of a guy that offed himself. Still had the bullet hole throught the roof.

Now THAT was weird.

Think about it, going to a hospital is visiting the most frequent place of death, but if your having a baby...

Came home this evening and found half a dozen dead bees outside my front door. Death is everywhere around us, as is life.

Why not? I've already lived in an apartment where the previous tenant had killed himself, and it was never a problem for me.

I'd feel like someone's trying to steal my job.

Of course, murders generally mean cheaper houses.
