Crappy band hates bass :(

Apparently, after kicking me out of being they're drummer *Which I wouldn't have minded if they hadn't replaced me without telling me* they decide that they did not need a drummer... That's not the bad part, though it is stupid.
I was having a chat with the apparent leader of the band, and he starts to get mad at me... so he finally gets pissed for god only knows why, and he screams "AND THAT'S WHY YOUR THE BASS!"
Now I'm offended, obviously, but I calmly ask "What's wrong with being the Bass of any band?"
His next statement?
"The bass is the most pointless instrument in any band."

But it is funny when people think you don't need bass, just because it isnt in your face doesnt mean it isnt important.

No, allow me to explain this stupidity circle:
They do have a bassist, and he is not the best... and the saddest thing is that he thinks the bass is useless himself, they all hate the bass and think it's easy... and I did hit him... just not for the bass thing, but it was partly for it.

Imo the bassist is the most important not just the bass itself. I some friends one is a drummer and one is a guitarist and we are in a stage band class (though i play saxophone their and bring my bass to play when we aren't working on something). And me and my drummer like to play some chili pepper tunes and the guitarist will come in and try and play and i've had to teach him the verse for dani california and can't stop probably a million times over... lol its all fun... i'd punch that guy and the guy who holds the bass in the band right in the face...

I can't do that, we've been mates since we were kids... If I were to do that, I would probably never hear from him again... They like him more because they replaced me behind my back, I trust none of them... And I know they like me more as a bass player, the one who hates the bass the most asked me to be the bass for his Christian band...

No drums???!!!!!! thats so stupid

IMO all are important and needed drums to keep the time, bass to keep the low end rhythm and groove or else it will sound empty, guitar for lead and the in your face riffs. With out one it's not complete.

Of course there are exceptions but we're talking a band here not solo acts.

Please give me a link to some music of this awesome band that doesn't need a drummer and thinks bass is pointless. I would like to see how they have reinvented music....lol what tards.
