I placed an order on Wednesday of last week. I was told by the person I placed it with that I would receive my order no later than Friday.

Well, Friday gets here and I don't have my package, so I call the company to find out what happened. They told me the will ship later that day and I'll have it by Monday.

Monday is here, still no package. I call them again and this time they have a UPS tracking number for me. I go to UPS website, enter the tracking number and get the following message. "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

I also called UPS just in case they didn't update their site, but they tell me that they don't have the package in their possession yet because if they did, then it would've been scanned and would have an expected delivery date. They also tell me to call back the company.

I call the company I placed the order with and a woman there tells me she called UPS (while I was on hold) and claims she was told by UPS that they have the package and it's scheduled for delivery today. She also told me to call back by 5:15 if I haven't received it.

5:25 rolls around and I still don't have my package, so I call them back. This time around I'm given a different similar but different story. He (the supervisor) even admitted to me that it was their fault that the order wasn't when it was received. It wasn't processed until Friday.

I think what really irks me the most (other than them not getting me my stuff when they told me I would) is he actually tried using the free shipping and discount, which were both part of the promotion, when I made the order, as an attempt to pacify me and accommodate me for their foul up. If those things weren't already part of the original deal then I would've been content, but they weren't so, nope, that doesn't cut it for me.

I would've canceled the order, but they said I can't because they claim it's in UPS' possession and they wouldn't do anything to rectify their foul up and expedite the shipping, because it's in UPS' possession.

I worked in shipping/receiving for several years when I was younger and I know it doesn't take 7 or more days for an order to be processed and shipped to a destination of 30 to 35 miles away.

In short: Two calls to UPS yielded the same story. 3 or more to the company I made the order with were all different.

Needless to say this is the last time I will be doing business with them. Ironically, it's also the first order I've ever placed with a reputable company.

FWIW, I get that sometimes things happen that can delay an order being shipped. What I'm not okay with is how their employees blatantly lied to me then would not do anything to rectify the situation after admitting they fouled up.

I could never understand why a company would lie about not shipping something. But I have heard it many times sadly.
They don't deserve your business if they can't even be honest.

Seriously though, I'm referring to a cigar company based in Tampa. I wouldn't go to Adam and Eve, I'd just drive into Tampa and go to The Todd, like I always have in the past.

I did an update in that thread about her actually.

But long story short, I was able to get the cash and she's being treated for it again. I wouldn't have ordered cigars if I didn't knock that responsibility out first.
