Hey gang. I found out that I eat wayyy too much cereal when I eat it. And if I eat just double the serving size each time I eat it, about 4 times a week, I can cut out around 6000 or so calories a week from cereal alone. I also found a way to cut out some calories when I eat ice cream. That will help my weight lose right? (For those who saw my recent threads, haha)

It ads up very quickly, and with only a few exceptions, these other drinks don't have unique health benefits. also, many times what we perceive as hunger is actually a sign of dehydration and goes away with regular and full daily servings of water. |

| | | | I found out if I eat the exact polar opposite of what my skinny %&$@ wife eats I cut out about 10k calories and don't have heartburn as often.
I Swear woman can survive off slimjims, coke and would probably die without fried food.
example:
Breakfast news years eve:
Wife: Omelet stuffed with cheese, fried potatoes, sausage and bacon smothered in a triple serving of sausage gravy. oh and toast where she frosts butter on each slice like a cake.
Me: veggie omelet minus cheese cry toast and black coffee.

Ice cream is a treat, not a staple food...how much ice cream do you eat? If you cut down on the carbs (from cereals) and sugars (from the ice creams) it should start to help matters.

Look at the calorie content on the pack, that is the most important thing for anyone with a weight issue. |

Something to do with all the artificial sweeteners and other man-made "miracle foods" messing with your metabolism.

I broke my femur and messed up the cartilage in my knee and shoulder and have had three operations since July 2008 so exercise was pretty much out of the question. What I did was eat if Fiber Bar in the morning with a Whey Protein shake and substitute a Weight Watchers meal for my regular lunch and eating a Granny Smith Apple before each meal (they are filling) and without any exercise I have lost 32 pounds in two months. The big thing is not to each 4 hours before you go to bed if you are able to do that, if not eat raw veggies.
My company gives a $300 Healthy Initiative allowance each year for gym membership so as soon as I am cleared I will be back to the gym. |

7000 calories is more than you need to eat in 2 whole days. So even if besides your cereal and ice cream you only eat the adviced +- 3000 calories a day, you're consuming 9 days of food in only a week.
If you want to lose weight, get your calorie intake down to a maximum of 3000 (preferably a little less). Stay away from too much carbs, eat more high-fiber food (fills you up faster, less calories). No junkfood, no sodas. And go running, exercise.
Proper food intake + exercise = weight loss.

Adequate hydration is an absolute must.
Remember, "You are what you eat." Avoid "empty calorie" foodstuffs devoid of real nutritional value.
a dietary goal of 1 gram of protein per pound of target body weight per day is a good idea....

In your first post, you said that you eat cereal 4 times a week and that constitutes 6,000 calories. Are you saying that you only eat a total of 4,500 for the other three days of the week? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
