This is a club for all the people on TalkBass who love them some Mediterranean wrap-type sandwiches such as Turkish Döner Kebabs and Greek Gyros. Those of you who also can go for a nice Shawarma are welcome to join as well.

we have a huge amount of lebanese immigrants where I live, and you can find shwarma/donnair place on practicaly every corner.
its possibly the best food ever created.

one thing this town has that i have never seen anywhere (but, i hear there is a sister company in fort collins) is a gyro stand. outside the bars on weekend nites there are gyro carts (even in the winter!). it is run by a really nice local guy and he has an exceptional crew that is willing to be out slinging till 2am.
they do a vegetarian gyro where they grill feta, onions, and spicy hummus then add all the typical gyro toppings. it is heaven after gigs.
ohh, i am hungry now....

Doner lamb and tandoori chicken mix in a really fresh fluffy naan bread (my own preference over pitta), with crispy salad, napalm chilli sauce and a splash of lemon juice. Just heavenly on the way home after a good gig or a good night in the old win 'n' loser.

I don't like Donars, Shwarma, Thatziki sauce, or any of the above.
