Darn it. Musician's Friend got me.

So I buy my lead guitarist a dual-hanging guitar stand. For his Birfday.

OnStage Stands GS7255 Hangit Double Guitar Stand

It's almost a dead copy of the triple stand my brother oh-so-conveniently discovered years and years ago at a music store that was going out of business. We've been hoping to find this kind of stand again cuz it's perfect. So when I discovered they did infact still build this style, I snagged one.

Well, few months back when I got it, it was $27 and then shipping brought it all to $35.

So last week, I decided I want one as well, cuz it's so convenient to grab a stand with your axes on it and just walk far off the stage to get outta the next band's way. Quick, efficient, one hand, done. I like that. Never wanna be the reason a show runs late. So I mention it at practice, my drummer says hey gotta order heads and sticks, email me the item I'll add it to my order. My lead guitarist says he'll drop the dime to return the favor, cuz he now appreciates how slick this stand is and how useful it really is on stage. I'm totally down with that.

Now, it's currently on sale for $19.99. And my drummer had a coupon mailed to him for 20% off a whole order, AND free shipping. That makes my stand $16. Less than HALF.

THAT CHEAP BASTAGE! He psychicably KNEW that stand dropped in price and my drummer JUST recieved the coupon!

I'ma make fun of him for his bald spot as revenge. Cuz just today, he said I shoulda had him order two, cuz for that price it's a great gift to any axe slinger or even as a spare at the practice house. And he's right. Shoulda. DAMNIT.

How stable is that stand with only one guitar on it hanging on one side? It looks like unless you have two on there, it would just fall over.

Nope. Nothing worse than a tripod mic stand. Of course, the three-guitar stand has a leg directly underneath each guitar and is superbalanced, but the two-guitar version is just fine. The legs are very long so the base has quite the footprint to keep from tipping.

I thought he played metal, that sounds like a jazz tune...is his drummer a jazz drummer?
