These darn radio stations around here *coughcoughWRIFcough* are screwing with song speeds to meet their commercial needs! They're speeding up songs to fit them in yet have enough time for their precious advertising. And they're doing a HORRIBLE job at it. I can easily hear the tempo increase during a chorus of a song then slowed back down to normal speed, then hurried through a guitar solo oh wait not the last song that's right no bands bother with guitar solos anymore cuz they're Kurt-Cobaining their way through rock n roll without any actual practiced skills and just being mediocre as **** this thread just turned into one giant run-on sentence of anger and misery and I must apologise where's my Ritalin... |

Part of it could be building up a delay should the station need to dump out from something the on-air talent says. For commercial radio, there's usually about 30 seconds of delay in. If something is said that goes against the FCC regulations, or something similar, that portion of the audio is skipped, and now, there's only 27 seconds of delay. To build the delay back up to 30 seconds, the speed of the broadcast is changed just slightly.

My bad.
Back to Blind Guardian live. |
