In my mind, DBOT is kinda like this:

Except with less people.

I know of a drum forum like that. If you're not living for the latest acquisition of a 1960's Ludwig snare throw-off you just are not welcome.

They probably play in the same bands...

However, the idea of playing double bass does intrigue me.

I never knew. I think I went to the DB side once when I followed a link to some info on one of the AI amps.

All the really funny stuff over there is just in the other DB forums. They actually get away with a lot that would never make it on the BG side.

I think I made my single most epic post on TB ever over there... Pretty sure no one read it.

While I don't like the way that some of the older players, even ones you might have a lot of respect for, will act like total f**ks to you if something in your post sounds a little wrong, they are very knowledgeable and I often ask theory questions over there, as though I'm an upright player. As much as I would sorely love to be one.

My sincere condolences Slim for the situation with the earthquake in your country. I'm sorry about my facetious comments I made over there on the DB side in that thread a few weeks ago. I was putting everybody on and my humor was lost. Then the moderators closed the thread. Chuck

Same here mate. I was on edge as it was and looking for any excuse for a go. Sorry mate. Thanks for the respects for my country. There's a thread around here I started about the news updates on that, but I haven't really been on to it. It's the week before uni. Good to see so much national and international support though.

Peace man.
