dealing with passive agressive people...

Sign in to disble this ad
apparently the band director at my college doesn't like me. ill admit my sarcastic dry humor can be annoying to some, but why wont he just say something about it and be done with it. i was booted from the student symphony but instead of the director telling me, i hear this news from my replacement. worse yet the person whom now has my part is asking me for tips on how to play it correctly.

the only reason i am putting up with this BS is because i need the class to get my degree.

sorry just needed to vent.

Just kill him*, passive aggresive people are losers anyways.

Feel sorry for them and their lack of assertiveness.

Someone who is immature like that is not someone youi want to be working under in the first place. It's sad how many people like that are in positions of authority though....

Can you not appeal directly to the person who sacked you? You can make them squirm there if they're avoiding confronting you!

if i was in a position of authority i'd probably be a total A-hole too. I had to detail our HMMWV in the middle of the night by myself last night...took me a little over 9 hours until 6 in the morning to finish it. you know why i had to do it...because my boss has the authority to make me (then again i'm almost at the point of telling him to F off too)

he left in a hurry before i had the chance to confront him about it.

he is the kind of person who avoids any real confrontation, yet he can also be a real pompous %^&

Learn to control your impulses. Not every situation calls for sarcastic, dry humor. It's called growing up.

Imagine yourself as an employee speaking with your boss (supervisor, etc.). Making a sarcastic jokes is the best way to get yourself canned.

How many other people have been kicked out of the student symphony? Probably none. So it's on you since no one else has your problem.

I'm just sayin'....

Give your fill in the wrong notes. Makes him out of tune and they will beg for you back.

That's called disrespect - people who are more important than you can do that... you can't. Unfortunate truth. He has every right to kick you out for being disrespectful.

On a second note, there's a time and place for joking around. People who take their job seriously know when and where...

i did not in any way disrespect the man.
he asked if anybody had any questions, and i took my time to call him out on it.

he hasn't earned my respect anyway.

I don't think so.

You're the one who stated that "my sarcastic dry humor can be annoying to some". So you've been messing with the prof and he resent your immaturity and won't put up with you.

At who's expense? So if you're the only one who got kicked out, what did you do? Again, no one else has your problem so it's on you.

If you want back in you'll have to go talk to the man, apologize for whatever you did and keep your mouth shut. Someone probably let the prof know what you've been saying about him and about your attitude.

Speaking of passive-aggressive, what do you think your sarcastic, dry humor comes across as? Poster boy for passive-aggressive.

no, if i have a problem with someone i let them know.

if anything i have been told i am too direct and could use more tact.
