So I may move out of my parent's house sometime soon and I thought...
Since I'm like, mentally stuck in the late 60s/early 70s, I wonder what I can do to make my new apartment/room look like it's from that period.
This is mainly directed at the older folks - what types of furniture, wallpapers and misc. gadgets were typical of that time? I know my stereo would fit in perfectly, as it mainly consists of second-hand parts from the early 70s, lol
Other nostalgia is also welcome, like how living back then was and whatnot. Haha...

Wood paneling, the darker the hue the better, for interior walls.
A console-type TV would really set the vibe.
Do you get any reruns of 60's-70's era sitcoms in Hamburg? That might give you some ideas.

However, the OP did ask for some Retro 60s House furnishings. IKEA is probably the best way to go, if you don't mind assembling your own furniture with wooden dowels.

It was more or less a description of my first crappy apartment (except the bomb shelter part). I'm sure I can't be the only one to have lived in a dump like that, though, and people who live in dumps like that have a tendency to post about them in disparaging ways, possibly even using the same language.

And as a result, they are usually cheaper. That said, when you grow out of this phase and update / modernize your "pad" (see? I know the lingo), have the landlord take it off the rent.

I often have dreams about mundane scenarios, such as watching something on TV, or in this case, reading a succession of TB posts. I won't remember them upon waking, but they float around in my subconcious. Then, as the scenario plays out in real life the Deja Vu hits me. 'I have dreamt of this exact moment'.
