Delaney Bramlett (Delaney, Bonnie, & Friends) passed today from complications due to gall bladder surgery.

He penned "Let it Rain" with Eric Clapton, among other standards.

RIP.

I was sad to see that in the paper yesterday. I liked Delaney and Bonnie and Friends, too.

The live version of "Comin' Home" (D&B&F) is playing in my head in honor of DB.

Musical greatness aside, I'll always remember him as the guy who punched out Elvis Costello in a Holiday Inn bar cuz he called Ray Charles a N*****.

IIRC, that was his ex-, Bonnie Bramlett who punched out Elvis Costello . . .

But I STILL respect the man (Delaney) . . . a fine musician . . . RIP

Aw, man... I remember being in 5th or 6th grade when someone brought a Delaney & Bonnie album in to class, we were rocking out to "Only You Know & I Know" dancing around our desks...

Wasn't their entire backup band essentially Derek & The Dominos?
