Saturday, I've listen to some girl go on about how she likes name Juda, but would never name her kid JEW -da and how awful it is to be JEW anything.... I didn't want to be ruid and tell her i am Jewish, so i hinted, telling her that one of my cousin's name is Juda, then mantioned that another one is "Israel"... I mean, how much Jewish can you get, but - she did not catch on and kept on going...

I had a laugh. It's kinda fun being Jewish where people can't tell that you are... You hear some of the most adorable things. Nothing beats the guy who sensirioly felt bad for me because i was Jewish and thought that if i was dead i would be far better of. Hitler was acctually doing Jewish race a big favorite, because it's so awful to be Jewish"

That's all, just thought i share my funny weekend experience.

As you note, folks with that attitude are justly (not) famed for their sensitivity to others. And the scary thing is that they get to vote.

To be correct, being Jewish is not a race because Jews do not share one common ancestry or biological distinction. Therefore, your friend's comment were not racial or racist.

I know, but racism has become a word that sortoff describes "predijust" in general in US.

And yes, it is a race - it's a white race.

Plus, technically speaking, Israel is in Asia.

If anything, racism and race is a meaningless word either way, so i am ok with abusing it. Kinda like predijust against Mexicans is still racism even if they are of Spanish decent - White.

I know plenty of people who believe that all religions are silly and that all religious people are prehistoric imbeciles that are still scared of fire and impressed with shiny objects. But they are not racist or prejudiced. At worst your friend is an insensitive moron.

By your logic, no one is racist because most scientists now say that the term "race" has no actual scientific meaning.

No it's not.

Anyone, regardless of being of the caucasiod, congoid, capoid, mongoloid or austroloid race, can be Jewish.

Just as of wether race you are you can be Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Druid, Jedi, atheïst, etc...

I personally think that word Racist can be applied to ANYONE who is prejudice against another Ethnicity.

Is this better? See i asume that when we are talking about people - the subject doesn't change to peace of wood.

I may get flamed for this but I quite frankly don't care...

I'm convinced that there are a large number of people that WANT to blame everything on racism so they can use it as a social crutch. I've seen it so many times that it makes me sick but I'll tell you that I love and get along with most people except those that think they deserve something because of what happened to their ancestors long before they were even around. They should spend a little less time trying to find the enemy and more time trying to be the hero.
