Denver, Colorado in my sights

I'll be in Denver from the afternoon of July 7th, until I flight out on the night of the 12th. I'll actually be in Longmont mostly.

Wednesday and Thursday during the day I am working. The rest of the time it's all fun. I'm going to hit up a Rockies game for sure one night. No wife this time, I'll be with another dude I work with until he flies out Friday then I am staying with some friends the rest of the time. No rental car.

Who wants to meet up one night?

I ended up in Nederland tonight. My co-worker and I got in our rental car and started driving. We went through Boulder, and decided to try and figure out how to get up in the mountains. So off we went up 119. What an awesome drive. Just when we were about to turn around, we came into Nederland. Had some awesome BBQ and beer at a place called Wild Mountain BBQ and Brewery. I totally recommend it if anyone is ever up that way.

As for Boulder....what a great place. I could totally live there.

Tomorrow.....it is either Fort Collins or Vail. We haven't decided for sure yet. I've been to both, so I'll let my co-worker decide.

Alright, I'll keep talking to myself in this thread....

Made it to Fort Collins tonight. Stopped in at "3 Margaritas" for dinner. That was really bland and average. I think you're supposed to drink three margaritas before you eat the food.

We motored back down to Oscar Blues for a few beers before they closed up. Now that is some really good beer. At the Lyons location on Friday night, John Lee Hooker Jr is playing. I am totally going. Time for some great music and a few more Old Chub's.

On Saturday afternoon, I am going to climb Haystack Mountain. Well, try to. We'll see. It is right next to a decent looking 9-hole, so it looks like I'll also have a chance to play some golf too!!!

Must have missed this one. How's the trip?

And yeah, Oscar Blues is a very tasty brewery. For cans they make some good stuff. The Pete's Pale Ale is my favorite.

I'm not a picture taking kind of person. I take some here and there on my cell phone, but it is pictures of things related to inside jokes with my friends.

I don't even have a camera with me.
