Destination Wedding - Nashville

We're planning our wedding! So, early October (2010) it's going to happen! We may stay for days...

If you can share an idea or two for consideration, your suggestions will be appreciated!

1. Unusual or nice places for a wedding ceremony in Nashville?
2. Great 'live band' venues for evening entertainment? (Not looking for the biggest, and not the Opry)
3. Local groups that are well known in clubs-with or without a dance floor? My feet like to dance, and it's kinda romantic!

Congrats! I know nothing of Nashville, however.

The "Broadway" area has everything that you want, and has a view of the river. If you walk Second Ave and Broadway, chances are you will find a band playing that you like and the food is usually good, but overpriced. Also bring a good mixture of clothing, the weather can be 100 degrees or freezing in October.

Tootsie's has great music and atmosphere but it can get cramped there. Graham Central Station is meh depending on the night. I've heard good things about BB King's, but I've not been there myself. Fuel seems to have "frat boy" written all over it. Mercy Lounge and Exit In do live music, but each has its own ups and downs. Play is a nice safe club/bar (it is a mostly gay bar, but I've been there several times with straight and gay friends).

Now this thread is cooking, here's some details about the upcoming event...

We are planning a simple ceremony with a fewer than 10 family members. We've both been married before, and passed our thirties.
So, relaxed is our goal...
