Absolutely.

One person came instantly to mind. Was a large part of my life and then withdrew, I believe largely due to complications in his personal life. We've lost a lot of the closeness that we once shared, which is sad, but sometimes life is complicated, as the ever so astute philosopher Avril Lavigne pointed out.

Yup. I think most people who get divorced after years of living in the same house and sharing the same bed will experience some painful psychological withdrawal symptoms.

The hardest part for me was coming home from work every day to an empty house-- empty except for the kitten she got the month before she split and she left it behind because her new boyfriend wouldn't let her bring it.

I think "withdrawal" is a great way to describe the feeling of love sickness. I know I've been through it.

I fell had and fast in love with another bass player. He's a professional, and I'm not. For the longest time, it was hard to hear his recordings, even though as a musician he's flawless. I've separated that out. The friend, the man I loved, gone and not part of my life any more. But the professional musician? Still one of the best rock bass players there's ever been. I can't fault his work for what he did when he wasn't at work, as it were.

And sometimes when I think about it, I miss him still. But I try not to think about it any more.

I have come to realize most people arent worth the grief of withdrawl.

I can name a few people who were in my life continue to shape it long after the distance between me and them has grown. These people, i certainly had some withdrawal symptoms regarding them.

Once or twice really bad, but I built an dimunity I think \MM/ is correct when he says some people aren't worth it. The first 3 weren't, anyways...

Now, the current girl...
