... TalkBass has almost as many members (129,000) as the American Society of Civil Engineers (144,000)? And since the number of civil engineering dropouts is rising, and more dropouts are playing bass, TB will soon eclipse the ASCE. I'm sure of it.

I'm a member of Engineers Australia. There are 85,000 members covering all fields of engineering. TB kills it!

TB is made up of a large mix of international members though. Maybe ASCE is too? Not sure...

People that live simply and away from society aren't rednecks. It takes planning and practice to be a redneck

Nah. It's a 20mm anti tank rifle. Worked in the early days of WWII against lightly armoured tanks. That thing looks like a Lahti L-39 without the clip on. Or a copy of it. Many of them were sold to american collectors after the war.

A believe that, among other things, the economic status is a factor differentiating between hillbillys and rednekc.s Hillbillies all almost always very poor, with the exception, of course, of the Beverly Hillbillies. Rednecks, on the other hand, can actually be middle class, or in some circumstances, wealthy.

At least that's what I think Max Weber said about the subject.
