Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has any experience of this camera?

Are they good? Any problems?

Cheers

I think my uncle and step-cousin's fiance both have one of these, they seemed pretty good. Didn't try it out myself but the pics from them looked pretty good.

In all honesty I wouldn't bother with a sony DSLR. Dont get me wrong, they're nice cameras but I'd be heading straight for the nikon and olympus DSLRs.

I love Nikkor glass

Nikkor lenses are killer. My wife has a D80 with a Nikkor 105mm Macro lens and a 18-200mm Nikkor. Sure the lenses were 1500.00 for both of them but it's the last two she will need for that camera.

Sony bought the Minolta line I thought, while Minolta is ok, there is a reason cameras like Nikon and Hasselblad get the pro nod.

I messed with all of them in the stores and as far as just general feel the Canons felt the best to me but I'll probably end up with a Nikon.

Any specific Nikon or Olympus models I should look for?

I would recommend avoiding Sony altogether, not due to anything other than lack of lenses. Stick with the big two: Canon or Nikon, or Olympus if you MUST. The first two have incredible amounts of lenses available, OEM and aftermarket that are incredible.

The best feature of a DSLR is the ability to change lenses, don't limit yourself there.

My personal recommendation? Canon EOS 40D, but the Nikon D80 is nice.

The nikon D40 is a very nice entry level SLR.
