Diploma test related question. Rather urgent.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have my chemistry diploma test comming up in about three and a half hours. This is the big kahuna, worth 50% of my grade 12 mark.

Unfortunately, I get spells now and then where I cannot fall asleep to save my life, and it looks like I will be going into this test with less than two hours of sleep.

On an average day I get about six hours of sleep, but I'm pretty sure I cannot function properly on less than four.

I fell asleep at 11:30 (I even tried to squeeze in more sleep than usual) and woke up around 1:15. Its about 5:30 now and I'm not quite sure what to do with my time. The test goes from 9:00-11:00 and then 1:00-3:00.

Anyone have any advice worth hearing in this situation? I'm looking for just about any edge I can get on this.

Thank you,
Sam.

Lovely. All I can say is, Lots of Coffee...no energy drinks, as you'll probably crash from it...

Ugh, I hate coffee so much. But I gotta give em hell today, so I gotta take some hell too.

Yeah, I'm way too tired.

Coffee, or a similarly large quantity of caffeinated pop.

Go into a room with little to no lights on, preferrably with some place comfortable to sit/lay down. Close your eyes and relax, take deep breaths. Don't think about the exam and focus on releasing tension from your muscles. Make sure you set an alarm in case you fall asleep. Should help you 'wake up' and focus better.

Good luck on the exam.

Thanks for the help guys. I've had about four hours of relaxation, so now I think I'm just going to head out. It looks like a nice day, hopefully the morning air will wake me up.

I actually feel pretty good right now. But lets see how I feel when 1:00 rolls around.....

Thanks again,
Sam.

Thanks guys. I tried to relax all I could before the exam, then picked up a coffee on the way to school.

I think it went really good actually, I managed to get over most of the tired weird feeling before the first half.

I'm pretty beat now though...
