Disney Buys Marvel

I don't have a link, but Disney bought Marvel today for four billion dollars. Now the folks who bring us Hannah Montana and Donald Duck, also own Spiderman and The Hulk. I know it's all corporate, but that is still a downer for me.

Meh, was gonna happen sooner or later.

Too bad they didn't grab Watchmen while they were at it. Goofy would have to be Dr. Manhattan.

Christ, just when I thought their product couldn't get worse...

Now I am doubly-glad I decided against plying my trade there.

Does that mean there will be a fighting game called Marvel vs. Disney?

I can just imagine Wolverine going toe-to-toe with Mickey Mouse.

Considering how horrible pretty much every Marvel movie has been over the past several years, maybe that means Disney story-tellers can finally input actual plots into the films.

As disappointing as those films have been, this can only be an improvement, IMO.

Look at it this way, maybe Pixar will have license to do a decent New Avengers cartoon.

I'm trying to find a positive here. New Marvel Superhero rides at Disneyland? Marvel Land?

Actually, interestingly enough, there are several tie ins between Marvel and Universal Studios.

One of the major rides at Universal Studios, Orlando, for example, is the Hulk rollercoaster....now...uh...Disney is 10 minutes away...what does Universal do with this huge ride that is themed top to bottom with Hulk stuff?
